INDIA COVID-19 RELIEF
India has been under lockdown since March 24, 2020, but the number of new coronavirus cases continues to rise.
In rural villages, there are no stores, no money, and no food. People are forced to stay in their metal shacks during India’s hottest season of the year when daily temperatures can reach over 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a country of nearly 1.3 billion people where 60% of that population lives in poverty, social distancing is considered a luxury and nearly impossible.
Our partners in India, Rise India Ministries, are raising funds to provide $50 to as many Devadasi families as possible. This amount would help sustain a household for 2-3 weeks, and each family would be provided with $20 USD worth of Indian Rupees and $30 USD worth of household necessities including food.
